Beowulf

1 ) The English language has transformed a lot since individuals early moments. While reading it I discovered many phrases that not necessarily normally utilized in today's contemporary society. There were also noticeable differences in sentence structure although this may have been completely a result of just how it was translated. The fact that it is a poem may also be so why the syntax is different, not only that it has been converted to English language. The introduction provided much information about the tale and the approach the story was written. We learned information about the digressions and exactly how the stories of the 3 kingdoms in the Danes, the Geats, plus the Swedes are typical intertwined into one epic. It really is interesting the way the poem produces history amongst the three kingdoms through occasions that " trigger” the characters to recall and tell stories of their chronicles. It was useful knowing what the italicized text meant. The intro was helpful for understanding why it was written the way it was, that sure achieved it easier.

2 . Returning to the text and looking at this more closely I noticed far more literary equipment. The unnecessary repetition was hard to spot in the beginning until I actually started examining it out deafening. I known the patterns; the unnecessary repetition was a reoccurring literary gadget. The exponentially boosted words which i found seemed to be words that have been used frequently in those times since they were employed so much inside the text. It's interesting because their beginning is not known, for example the writer might have made the words up, or maybe these were actual phrases. It could have been that there is no direct translation for those words so they'd to be made. I know via experience that the is entirely possible, speaking fluent Spanish has taught myself that there are a few words that don't have the same meaning once they are converted into one other language. Prevalent phrases were prominent when ever someone was dying, when the character was speaking of worth, or when the kings/queens expressed gratitude towards Beowulf.
